Anna Kolečkářová, M.D., Ph.D.
Dentistry is something I truly love. Even while I was in school, I knew this was the field I wanted to devote myself to fully, and today I can’t imagine doing anything else. Every day is different, every patient is different, and that’s what I enjoy most about this job.
I feel closest to my pediatric patients. Working with children isn’t just a profession for me—it’s a labor of love. It always brings me joy when, together, we manage to turn fear into a smile. I know that a visit to the dentist doesn’t have to be an unpleasant experience for a child. If we build mutual trust, everything goes much more smoothly.
My greatest joy comes when a child leaves the office smiling, without tears, and with the feeling that nothing terrible actually happened. That’s exactly what I strive for during every visit—so that children leave with a positive experience and aren’t afraid to come back next time.
I devote plenty of time, patience, and a personalized approach to every young patient. I believe that a child’s very first experience with a dentist can shape their attitude toward dental care for the rest of their life. And if I can show children that the “dentist” isn’t something to be afraid of, then my work has the greatest meaning :).
